Makes sense. If there's clear coat done in the process...that might impact the timeline.
 
Depends on temperature, humidity, type of paint, number of layers, thickness, etc... There is no 100% right answer for all paint work.

I say at least 1 month on average but again that will depend.
 
Ask the shop that painted the vehicle. It's usually 7 days for washing and 6 months for wax. How ever each paint system is different and has many variables. If you wax too early you may void the paint warranty.

When my truck was painted was told to give it 6 weeks for the paint to fully cure before wax

If it was heat cured, the whole paint booth warms up it could be a couple days, even so most say wait 3 - 4 weeks. Gimpy1 is one the right track. Ask the shop where you got the work done.
