I bought a set of wagner severe duty brake pads for the ciera. I just got them today. I am disappointed that the friction rating inked on the pads are only EE, not sure if i want to use them. I thought most carbon compound pads would be FF.

You know, we make big deals over stuff like this (I know I sure have), but in reality, wonder how much difference it makes. If you were blindfolded and told to stop a car with EE or FF pads, would you actually feel it?

I have HH rated pads on my bike and you can tell a BIG difference between them and the FF..car not so much unless mountain driving.

Probably i would not feel it unless i got them hot. But what i have noticed is that i never get pad deposits (what some people think are warped rotors) with FF pads. I have had that with EE pads before ( i always use a torque wrench on my front wheels), but never with FF, always smooth jutter free braking for the life of the pad.

Glad to hear someone note the differences. We still have a ton of folks here who confuse a PAD issue with a ROTOR issue.

Well i went ahead and installed them this morning with new rotors. If they don't impress me, I'll change them for hawks.
