Waffle and Pancake Shoppe- finally figured out why lines out the door seven days a week.

Flying widebodies, I guess? :D
It’s how I treat folks at a couple of local places. They take great care of me.

We have been seated just after another party was turned away for not having a reservation.

That isn’t what matters, though.

What matters is that my recommendation is how you should treat servers, period.

You could have just laughed.

That’s true, I guess I could have just laughed, but I didn’t get the joke.

I was partly replying to Kira’s comment as well. “How does it work?” Well, I wouldn’t ever put someone in an awkward position - but being a regular, and a good one, has its advantages.

Learn the names of the servers. Tip very, very well. Go at least once a week. Call them by name, ask about their kids (if any) and how they’re doing.

After a few months, that line out the door won’t apply to you…😉
...that line at the door won't apply to you... because you can send her a text message, and the next available table in her section automatically becomes yours.

Wonder how people standing in line will react as you walk right in and more importantly, how you will feel as you do so😂

This place has more than one door to get in. Go to a side door that bypasses the hostess and all of the other people....where the waitress comes and gets you, and seats you herself.

Passed this restaurant from time to time. The restaurant opens at 7am, I see lines starting at 630am. Parking lot always packed full.

It's the prices, about half of what most places charge. I am having a waffle, two eggs, chicken fried steak, and hash browns for $10 USD View attachment 241814View attachment 241811View attachment 241812View attachment 241813View attachment 241814
Wow I've been to Alomogordo about a year ago. The prices there are very reasonable. Isn't that where the Pistachio farm is?

Alamogordo has three retail pistachio farms, numerous space museums, and a lot of Americana to offer. Really nice people.

IN addition, Alamogordo has the BITOG tri-fecta. A Home Depot, Lowes, and a Harbor Freight all withing 500 feet of each other.....

Reminds me of the local Waffle House for look/feel. And they aren't horrendously expensive. My usual is 3 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $9.50 or add a waffle and $13.50.

"10 bucks for that?" was my initial reaction but then remembered the inflation we are in...
