VW Brake Fluid ?

This place helped me solve my VW ATLAS brake squealing issue, so I’ll dip into the pool once again.

I’m gettin ready to do a brake flush, but other than the VW OEM fluid, what other options do I have?

DOT 4, DOT 4 LV?

My google-fu has failed me yet again on this.

VW specs DOT 4 LV.

I'm a big fan of Low viscosity brake fluids aswell.

If you want regular viscosity, Castrol claims very low seal swelling with their DOT4 fluid. Don't know how true that is, but eventually seals in master cylinders and brakes swell to the point of failure so I like that idea.

Finally knocked this out. Was able to do everything with 1L of the pentosin DOT4LV from oreilly.

So far no issues. Thank you.
