So - I'm getting quite tired of dealers using non-OEM fluids. I had a brake fluid flush done today at a Ford Quick Lane, and specifically asked for Motorcraft fluid (the owner's manual calls for "Motorcraft® DOT 4 LV High Performance Brake Fluid")
Of course, when I got home and looked at the invoice, it said "BG84032," which is standard DOT 4 fluid. I could maybe live with BG's low viscosity DOT 4 fluid, but this isn't even that.
Is this going to do any damage to my brake system before I can get it back there next week to have them redo it? This is presuming they cooperate...not sure what Ford's corporate policies are on their dealers using aftermarket fluids.
