Few questions as coolant changes isn't something I've frequented and my education on such matters isn't great.
Our Volvo had a new cambelt including water pump in 2021 and currently there is red/pink coolant in there. I suspect this is a generic OAT or Dexclone.
The Volvo left the factory with a green HOAT which I believe is 'G46'.
Is a Dexclone likely to cause any issues in a system designed for G46? Would you change it or leave it in? Bare in mind I was planning on leaving the cambelt for another 3 years.
And if you did decide to change it, how would you go about it? We live in a very soft water area so would a number of drain & fills with tap water suffice and then add concentrate to the correct ratio once the system is totally clear? Or would you strictly stick with deionised water?
