Volvo ceasing "estates" in the UK

Just this moment I heard on a BBC broadcast that Volvo is no longer selling estate wagons (station wagons) in the UK in favor of larger SUVs etc.
The "news bit" was decidedly uninformative.
I imagine I can cope.

No more wagons, hmmmm..... Are they still selling sedans there?

I'd bet they are but do not know.
I believe the hybrids and full electric vehicles have simply displaced the station wagons.
Battery packs lower the center of gravity so the vehicles can be raised without jeopardizing stability. This adaptation might even allow manufacturers to shorten the overall length.
'Tis a natural sounding development to me.
