Yes..I have used Mobi1 1 5w-30 almost exclusively for the last 180k in this car. This coming oil change have Mobil 1 5w-30 HM to go in it. Hopefully cut down on oil usage. I believe I have topped off a total of about 1 quart this oci of 4700 miles.
How is it for your Sunfire? M-1 HM may help slow your consumption, you will not find a "better" product.
Seems to do well. I have a couple UOA posted in the appropriate forum. My mind does have a hard time with long oci though even though I know it is OK...most of my oil changes have been under 4k. Mostly used Mobil 1 oil filters also...Purolator PureOne lately...much more cost effective for short oci.
I use M1 HM 5w30. Its slightly thicker than reg M1. Cut my consumption down a lot. Its hot here, consuming slightly more than usual. I found the trick. In summer months blend in 1 qt M1 HM 10w40.
