What troubles me about the SM version is they don't list them in the A5 spec. Again since it has gone SM I will probably just get the EP formula when my SL stash runs out. I don't trust the GF-4 oils for extended drain intervals. I may run the GF-4 line of M1 if I can get it really cheap, for 6 month intervals in the 4 banger of the house. Then again it's only a couple of bucks difference.

If M1 goes GF-4 SM for teh EP oil... well at least there is Amsoil.

I hate to split hairs.. No, actually I like paying alot of attention to detail, that's why I enjoy it here..I digress. m1 0w30 is 10.3cst at 100°c - 10w30 is 10.0 cst at 100°c and 5w30 is now 11.3cst @ 100°c It appears that 10w30 is thinnest. [/QB]

I stand corrected. I wish Mobil would quit changing things. I have a hard enough time remembering all of this stuff without them making changes all of the time. It seems that Mobil loves to tweak their formulas on a regular basis.

I have 20 quarts of Mobil1 0w-30, 6 being the old SJ stuff. I wonder how many different formulas I have in this small collection.
