I took my Alfa Spider to a top indie shop today to get a safety inspection needed to renew my license tag. The owner of the shop mistakenly topped off my 7 quart sump with 3/4 quart of 5w-20 Lubrigold synthetic I had in a shopping bag on the front seat.
The sump also had 2/3 bottle of Liqui-Moly Oil Saver that I added in the spring to soften up the engine seals/gaskets. The sump is not overfilled, but are there any ill effects to adding a quart of 5w-20 synthetic to 6 quarts of Rotella 15w40 in a 30 year old DOHC 4 banger? The car is now in central Florida full time.
