I have developed a head gasket oil seepage leak in the rear of my V6 Toyota. Does anyone feel there will be any difference in what I use for an oil and the amount of seepage.
Currently Amsoil 10W30
Will going to a Conventional 15W40 make any difference?
How about a High Mileage oil 10W30?
How about a somewhat lower 0W30?
Replacing the gasket is not an option at this time due to high cost$1500-2000, high mileage, low seepage and probability that some other high priced repair will develope that would make the new gasket a bad investment. Had the RX treatment last year tried the Rx currently but a gasket not a seal. Seepage is not great, just messy over the PS pump
