Literally have nothing better to do today so why not cut open a filter you've never seen before. Normally I hate to waste unused filters but this was probably for the better. Got two of these for real cheap, now I wish I didn't. Never seen an unused filter as dirty as this. One interesting thing was the media seam was stitched together, can't say I've seen that before.

These are another cheap filter brand for the Australian market. Made in Indonesia.

It doesn't look completely awful. Without efficiency or capacity specs who knows if it's any good. I'd say without knowing that it's a good inexpensive filter

Looks alright, should find efficieny numbers on it. Crazyoildude will love them, theres no louvers!

That's a strange looking bypass valve in the end cap.

I'm aware that cut & posts are worthless for anything other than ogling the construction (and for some arguing with strangers over minor details). Just that I can find filters for the same price which are more widely available and don't come with added dirt and rust spots.

Can't recall seeing one like it either, but it seems to operate smoothly so no biggie

Might be nice to note the number down in case some day you are stuck in the Outback needing a filter change and it's the only thing available! I have cheat sheets for my vehicles with lots of filter cross-reference numbers, mainly for that purpose. But, I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase those.
