I grabbed two of these; this one I cut apart and another one for friends vehicle.

Fram made, looks good.

Wait, what? When did that happen?
Did they drop Champ, or is it just specific filters that are Fram made?

Seems I saw something about Champ and Fram are back together or something, is that it?
Honestly, most of the Super Tech line up at my Wal Mart looks like this. White box was what made me buy this one and to learn.

Only thing I would add is that some of these actually have metal end caps depending on the model. Looks like those are legacy champ labs construction (ecore). These look like the Fram drive. If orange can is under 4 bucks for this config, it may be a better buy for the silicone.
Thanks for the cut. I ordered a exhaust cutter and have a few I'll post up soon.👍

This one like most ST filters is $2.97 if recall correct

Burger King Woppers don't look like the TV commercials either. I wish they did.
That's funny I thought of that too! Whopper's are one of my favorites! I wasn't trying to come across being picky but I do believe that is a misrepresentation going on a vehicle that could be valuable and you need to really know what your really getting. 😄

SO, BACK ON TOPIC and stories aside; a friend of mine installed this filter and so far no issues. I could care less what the box “image” looks like. Korean and China made filters look ok and perform ok.

Because I've not seen this type construction on a ST white or blue can I wanted to check it out at local WM. I can say that locally the ST16 application currently is a 'one off' for the ST white cans. Others, excepting ST9688 (old ecore type) are the ecore now with metal endcaps. It appears the topic ST16 is one made by Champ Labs with Fram fiber endcaps construction. Date code format definitely Champ Labs. Looking at the filter in person, relatively large filter. I wouldn't assume that because this application has this construction other ST will follow, but with First Brands calling the shots, can't rule it out. I would be surprised if the MP series follows. Saw an older blue can Champ made ST16 and it was ecore, not sure if metal or older fiber/felt end cap..

Didn't really get previous reference to AAP Fram Drive filter. That filter as posted this subforum is Champ made First Brands "Fram", excepting can color same as ST ecore with metal endcaps. Perhaps though, the Fram Drive FD16 is the same element type as topic filter.

Thanks for c&p.

That's good for you, I'll keep my standards a little higher!
All I was getting at is I’ve saw Purolator a with tears that most would think would hold up good. I’d be happy if someone ran this exact filter for say 3-4K and it looked good.
