Had this one lying around and since Premium Guard is making these now figured I’d cut this one for the board. Looks downright scary, what a piece of

Yes I agree. I’m done with FRAM though. Only OG stuff or Donaldson or premium guardWow, even fram is better than this. Thank you for the can cut.
The new gold 20k Purolator looked a lot better than that.
Yup, same reason Duaraguard oil filters are still premium guard made. For such a highly rated, well respected engine oil provider, you'd think they would be just picky about the oil filters that bear their name.
To clarify for those who may not know, this one is not made by Premium Guard, but by M+H. Has a Purolator format date code too.Had this one lying around and since Premium Guard is making these now figured I’d cut this one for the board.
The new Purolator 20k doesn’t impress me. I’d use a DONALDSON or OG ULTRA or least a TITANIUMThat's my "go to" oil filter for past 20 years. Some pictures there are not flattering. Donaldson's performance and reputation are impressive., I'm going to see if they have my sizes. Both cars are Running VRP right now. The cars have 167k miles. Neither burn oil.
I commute 60 miles one way, 95%highway before hitting a light and its light traffic to work. I run Mobil1 EP for 7k mile intervals. I need an upgrade oil can that can handle 20k miles. The new Purolator 20k mile might be an option. Right now, I have stocked up with Purolator BOSS, AMSOIL, and Mobil1 EP filters fo the 5 jugs of VRP in picked up.
I've been shopping for Donaldson but it hasn't been easy finding my cars. I'll keep trying. Nothing personal, but I won't use a FRAM productThe new Purolator 20k doesn’t impress me. I’d use a DONALDSON or OG ULTRA or least a TITANIUM
I mean, the Purolator 20k is a joke. Don’t think it even has a silicone adbvI've been shopping for Donaldson but it hasn't been easy finding my cars. I'll keep trying. Nothing personal, but I won't use a FRAM product
Now that M1 filters are built by Premium Guard run them with confidence. That's my "go to" oil filter for past 20 years. Some pictures there are not flattering. At $12~ at Wal Mart I don’t think I’d get one. Especially since I can grab a CQ premiums at my AAP for $4 with work accountNow that M1 filters are built by Premium Guard run them with confidence.
