Good Morning BITOGERS. Member bullwinkle sent me 5 of these filters. Looks good pleat wise, piece of dirt or glue on inside of baseplate though. Metal spring in some end appears made poorly or was damaged somehow. Can is not dented at all . I’ll use the other 4 he sent me on the 02’ Dakota. Enjoy the pics and appears older WIX style product.

Me too. The piece of “debris” on inner baseplate was soft. The adbv wasn’t cut or messed up as that was my first thought.

Stain is ugly but everything else looks a lot better than current Mexico WIX. Thanks to the both of you.

Still has the base end bypass valve. Leaf spring looks thin and easy to bend/deform. Date code could be Nov 26, 2014.

And interesting F-M "Champion". To me, looks very much like an OG Wix design filter even using a 'very similar' base end bypass piece and adbv design. Main difference uses a stamped compression spring rather than coil. It does look much better than many filters posted now from several brands with that same coo.
