I really mess with radios when I get in a customers car. What happened to car radios with a clearly displayed OFF button ? I jump in a car, start it up and BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! I can't see an off button, punch buttons that look like they might do the job, but don't, change stations, go to CD or aux....sometims I can't even find a usable volume control. What a nightmare - and often these are the people who bring their car in for some minor noise, how can you hear it over the noise of the sound system? I don't care, I leave it in the state that made it shut up.
