vibration when braking,replaced front rotors and pads,orignals had 55000 miles and still looked good. still has vibration when braking? could it be the rears?

Do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel or the seat?
If the vibration is still in the front, it's probably the ball joints and/or the wheel bearings. Also it is very much possible to buy a brand new set of rotors that are warped.
It's very likely the wheel bearings if you are feeling the vibration in the steering. I've heard of the sealed hub/bearing units on GMT800 trucks wearing out with relatively few miles. You should get way more than 55K miles out of the ball joints, but take a look at everything.

It could be the tires.Once had a truck that only vibrated during braking,inspected all usually suspects and found nothing.Tires needed replacing and afterwards the vibration was gone.
Got new tires last week,still had the vibration and did brakes yesterday and still has vibration. is there a way to check wheel bearings? it is 4wdr

If the vibration is only while braking, the brakes a certainly suspect.
A worn suspension component will ALLOW vibrations to be felt and not be masked, but they do not cause the initial vibration.

well, after driving today its more like a hopping sensation when applying brakes, dash/hood seem to move more now,kinda like bad balance. but it done this with old tires/brakes and still after replacing rotor,pads,tires. the suspension seems fine it only has 55000 miles
Hopping definitely makes the rear brakes highly suspect.
My parking brake cables froze in our record breaking cold. I had to drive the car, and it severely warped the drums.

Mines a 2002 Tahoe and I had the same thing.
Turned out to be the (almost new) rear rotors were warped. This was cause by a frozen caliper slide pin that I missed when replacing the rotors.

replaced rear rotors/pads. the pads were shot and not making full contact,rotors rusty. greased pins good and put back and now they are sticking,quess i will replace the calipers next
