Valvoline VR1 10w30 question

I was wanting some information from the experts!

Do you recommend Valvoline's VR1 10w30 for use in a old push rod flat tappet engine? Of course the flat tappet engine protection lately, so is the VR1 10w30 (non sythetic) a good choice? The bottle states it has extra ZDDP in it. I bought a case just in case...and because I am hoarding different oils these days. I have some old (30 plus years) cars. What do you think?

I can't believe there is not more information on this oil! Do I have this thread in the wrong area?

Check the VOA and UOA forums for VR1. Think there was something, not sure what grade.

Product Data Sheet says there is 1300 ppm zinc and 1200 ppm phosphorus. Very good numbers. Probably comparable to CF HDMO, so better than the current CI spec HDMO.
