This filter was off my military veteran friends 2018 KIA Forte. Had this and sticker said Valv blend 5w30. 3,997 miles on them. I put some Valvoline Syn Maxlife 5w30 and KIA/Hyundai OEM on. 52,335 on odometer. Looks good I think 🇺🇸🇨🇦🍻

Any type of date codes on the can? Looks like it may be old, I thought valvoline filters were bright white and a little livelier with the branding, also the PH6811 crossreference seems quite old. I thought modern Valvoline filters were rebranded service Champ.

Didn’t see a date code. I see tons of this style Valvoline filter every day

Here’s a Valvoline filter off a 20’ Fusion with 1.5

Some odd date code I can’t decipher and barely readable. Kinda like they etch or stamp it on dome end; why I don’t know

Looks like Premium Guard, Prime Guard type OF. Guessing either China or S Korea coo. They used to be from one of the US OF manufacturers, iirc Champ Labs was one of them. IDK if the yellow ones are what now being used at VIOCs. Used to be white.

Anyway, looks ok, like it got the job done.

Thanks for c&p.

I like a center tube with big holes.

Its hard to beat the OEM style filters for this application. With the prices near 7-8 bucks for blue OEM, I may be inclined to use something similar.
