Good Morning BITOGERS

this filter and some Carquest 5w30 oil was in and on a friends 2018 Kia Soul. Odometer is 67,xxx

Miles on oil was 4,112. Put KIA/HYUNDAI OEM filter and some QSUD 5w20 from the stash in and on. ADBV is actually pliable. One metal end cap fell off soon as I pulled filter element out of can.

yeah, it’s third filter I cut lately that end caps fall off. I’m not impressed with Puro build quality

What about the date codes, are they older filters?

I have a carquest red right now,I put on,last oil change. Back in april.
Bought it local advance auto. I knew they were wix made,then puro...but thought they were fram made now?
Last year,I used a carquest blue. Seemed good filter. Got 2,400 miles on red filter now.gunn a run it 3200 to 3700 miles.all stop n go traffic here.
Wanted to try puro blue.but know about the tears. It's got really good efficiency though. Now,the red,the endcaps come off. According too 53 stude.
I sketchy unfiltered open after change..well see,soon.the red one on car now.

It's Purolator, they make round hole filters too, it has a Purolator date code. Edit: they may be Fram now, post your date code from yours.

I see!I was just looking at bratwurst website.the holes are indeed,purolator.
I have a red on my car now.I'm approaching 3,000 miles,since end of april. I do !I own oil changes. Think I'll take pics for everyone.I always cut filters open.never had an issue ,other than one time,2002 or so,had a 95 neon. Read about others who used fram extraguards and got oil pressure problems. Put one on,New oil in and 40 miles on it,my oil pressure light lot up.took gram off,think I put a mobile one on light went off.
I see the end cap fell off this one. Last year,I ran a blue carquest.good filter. I'm planning on a pureone,or a.c. Delco gold.gram ultra or tough guard. Tests I've seen,the dreams never filtered as good as purolators or delco.at least air filtering tests.so I'm leaning towards delco. I have some 10 quarter PUP I found onclearance,autozone,2013.
Every oil change,I run a can of crc God intake,via small vacuum hose,too back of engine. 98 buck lesabre.let it sit 2 hours. Drain oil,Wal-Mart filter,cheap new oil. Run that 30 minutes,let cool an hour,then a good filter,and oil of choice.
I a! Using Virgo has and a bottle of superhero has treatment.it works!i and Lucas ucl.winter,I'll use MMO in gas. Gained mileage. Without lucas,mmo,I'll get 190 miles max. With..230-255 miles.
