All,

First, I'm not advocating the combination...but I happen to have a bottle of MOS2 and a few jugs of Valvoline Restore and Protect.
Is there anyone knowledgeable on the Valvoline Restore and Protect formulation properties that could support/defend upping the moly (in an oil that concurrently breaks-down varnish)?

What I mean is, would upping that additive work-against the properties that Valvoline Restore and Protect is famous-for? Or, is more moly simply more moly?
I'm not bent out-of-shape about it. I just figured it might give a rocket-surgeon in the forum an opportunity to educate us on how these may interact.

Acknowledge all. I suppose I just wanted to learn why. It’s beginning to feel like the Valvoline Restore and Protect Forum…
We would give you the same advice if you wanted to add something to any other oil. Additives are a waste of money and ruin the balance of an oil. Don’t try to be a backyard chemist.

R & P already has a lot of moly. No need to add more. You can add too much.

I was told by an industrial lead R&D oil chemist (Summit Industrial Lubrication "A Kluber Company") When I called to find a more advanced oil then the current one I was using of theirs. I told him I was using X oil and I added Liqui Moly MOS2 to the correct amount stated on the bottle to the amount used in our CAT pumps. The first thing out of his mouth was " I bet your having seal problems". I said how did you know that I was having seal issues? I had 6 seals in stock because they would start leaking bad between 8 months to a year. He said stop running that Moly as it is not refined and small enough and it degrades seals way way too fast. I asked what about Createc? He advised against using any additives. He said we use a clear moly and gave the name of that moly and we use it in proportions that work and it will not damage seals. I stopped using it and a couple of my pumps have lasted 6 years without a seal leak. Most pumps are flat worn out by the time a seal would leak. I still have 6 seals left. I then stopped using MOS2 and Createc and don't use any additives but HPL EC and some cocktailng ( which is also a bad idea, but I still do it with VRP and adding a Qt+ of a 5w-40 oil to increase HTTS a bit. Once and IF Valvoline Restore and Protect comes 5W-40 I will quit doing that. Not many issues it seems with cars it looks like , but after seeing the damage done, I won't run it in my engines. I think a lead R&D Kluber chemist knows better then the German BMW club, Maybe???

I’m not familiar with holly water. What is it? Some kind of plant extract?
Holly water is blessed by a priest in a large silver bowl behind the altar of a church and it supposed to have healing properties by the silver emitted in the water and words spoken by the priest.
The silver purifies the water and makes it antibacterial. That's why back in the days noble people had silver wear which words are used today as well, although the silver wear is made from stainless steel, not silver.

Also, it's said that the water has memory. So, any words you say to the water and then drink it makes the words come true.

Message me your address and I'll send you a couple of bottles of holy water from a christian orthodox church. You can wash you face with it or even drink it. Or if you if get afraid or don't believe in it—you can water your plants.
