I just bought 24 quarts of Valvoline Premium Conventional oil for $1.99 a quart at Mills fleet farm .I usually use quaker state Advanced Durability but for the price thought. I would give Valvoline a try.

Which weights? The 5w-20 and 5w30 are actually synthetic blends.

You will be fine with it

Very nice, one of the gas stations around here, Getgo sells quarts of it for $6.49. So you received a very good deal. Another local discount store sells it for $4.59.

Here it is $6.29 at Oreilly's. Autozone is a bit better at $5.99. If I ever step foot into Pep Boys I am certain it is close to or higher then Death Valley California.

Yep,same here. Almost $7 a quart for a humdrum conventional oil is insanity.

Walmart Canada has this oil on sale right now at CAD$11.88 for a 5L jug, I got a few in 5w30, it's approved and licensed as SN Plus and in fact is a synthetic blend.

How are those synthetic blends when it states that it's conventional? What am I missing?

If you're driving a D.I. engine, be aware that the wording by Valvoline states SN with SN Plus. That means that whatever percentage of that oil has synthetic in that blend, that's the same percentage it has SN Plus.

Not sure about today, but the old-school thought I read in some publication a year ago, was that if the '''front''' of the jug did not say synthetic blend, it had less than 15% synthetic in that conventional jug.

BTW... there's a recent VOA and UOA of Valvoline Advanced Synthetic 5w30 here at BITOG. Add-pack looks pretty robust/stout now, considering it's SN Plus.
