It didn't require the specific use of synthetic blends but the properties desired in the oil has the blenders/manufacturers using components normally found in synthetics to achieve the performance and properties required by SN is how I understand it, so it sort of makes them semi-synthetic.

Well ya just don't see many bad used oil analysis with it.
It's been a favorite of mine for years.
 
Ive been using it in everything for the last 4 years without issue. F150, Fusion, transmissionon the polaris, in my snowblower, my uncles fusion hybrid.
