Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc ATF

I have 1988 Chevy K1500 with a TH350 auto. I have no clue how many miles are on this transmission.
I'm not having any problems with it at all.
It's currently filled with Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc ATF. Is this what I should be using?
Does it have any advantages over the regular stuff or am I just wasting my money?

It is a very high quality full synthetic transmission fluid. It's an excellent value for the money.

It seems like pretty good stuff.

I flushed my ~45K 4T65-E with Walmart Dexron VI, and then 7500 miles later it started grinding gears because it would foam when hot. I sucked out half of it and replaced with MaxLife Dex/Merc. The problem was solved.

I will continue to use it.

do an advanced search, it's a full synthetic ATF and a very good product. some people even use it in Toyota T-IV apps. i'm using it in a manual that specs Dex III

i didnt think Valvoline MaxLife ATF is FULL synthetic. i was told that it was a blend by valvoline themselves. that being said its still great atf for dexIII applications. esp for the price. i used it in my taco for a while and switched to amsoil only bc i got the BITOG bug and wanted the absolute best LOL

Im using it in our 95 Grand Prix and my Scion tC. Both love it. Helped the GM transmission a lot by cleaning out a sticky valve body.

So it's Group III, if this was Europe it would be called Conventional.
