What vacuum are you guys using? I've always used a shop vac it does the job but it's such a pain to get out with the cord and it's rather large.

I have tried stick vacuums and they just choke on gravel bits.

This is an example of a "First World Problem".
Use what you got or, as above, get a smaller vacuum cleaner.
There are many to choose from. I scavenged a small Dayton from a building clean-out. It's 14" x 6" x 6" and quite powerful.

I use the powerful vacuum at the car wash but be sure you have a good size straight blade screwdriver when you go because the previous user sucked up some paper and it is plugging the nozzle. Use the screwdriver to push the paper on thru so you get real suction

I use a shop vac, but have used whatever in the past.

Several years ago I watched a vid on cleaning a car, and on their advice, bought a stiff bristle brush (I think it's a toilet bowl cleaner but would never admit to that). Applying vacuum and brushing the carpet helps get the dirt out. [Never knew that tidbit until then.]

I have a Festool vacuum. Yes, I use a Festool vacuum to clean our cars. That's about the only thing it gets used for. I acquired it when I bought a whole woodworking shop.

Mine is over 20 yrs old and was a gift. The long hose is really nice because I can reach a car in the driveway from the back of the garage.

I have this because I have other battery tools from Porter cable. Whatever battery equipment you have, they probably have a vacuum also.

I bought q small handheld that uses the 20v Dewalt batteries. I use it all over the house. No cord and it has decent power. Unless the truck or car is trashed (very rarely) it works well. Great for traveling and quick clean ups ( we have a boxer dog)
