I was once told that you can mix air cooled two cycle oil to run in a outboard because it is better than TCW-3. I posted this same question on the Iboats forum and a member told me that the air cooled oil is designed to burn off at higher temps and the TCW-3 is desineg to burn off at lower tempatures that puitrboards run at. The member also sad that running this air cooled will allow for deposits to form hurting the 70 hp Force.

I Know I should have probably asked a forum beforing doing so

but I went ahead and mixed with around a half to a quarter of a gallon of premix with the two cyle air cooled oil (Champion). Is there any problem with just running this gas out and then exclusively premixing with the TCW-3?

yep, different formulations, one isn't better than the other. Your premix/premix mix won't hurt anything but I'd stay with tcw3 oil. Mixing the 2 oils in a injector tank did have some some additive clash problems, but mainly where water moisture was also. Seen it done many times though and never heard of a problem. Pennzoil has an old bulletin about not mixing the two oils, so there is probably some truth to it.
