Used my 9mm socket!

Rear brake bleeders on my mercedes 240d. Socket was nice and shiny new.

Odd size that doesn't fit much came with my Lowes long socket set.

I have yet to use a 9mm tool. LOL. Why do they put them in tool sets?

That's the size of the jam nut used on many metric motorcycles for locking down the screw adjuster for the valves.

That seems like a good idea as most tool sets don't include 2 10mm wrenches.

I used one once, can't remember the application. Don't know if I've ever used an 11mm.

My truck has pretty much every sized metric from 8mm up to 20mm and then some.

On a Honda, 10mm will handle at least 50% of the routine jobs

I used an 11mm on a brake banjo bolt but in hindsight it was probably a 7/16".

Saturns have 18mm on a lot of front end stuff. Had to buy a wrench just for that.

As I was reading this thread, I was thinking that most 10 mm banjo bolts have 11 mm heads. They actually are intended to be 11 mm, though as we know, 7/16 is within tolerance.
