Deep sockets in impact driver bit set

I started to pick up this impact bit set but want to understand something first. The set comes with 2 deep sockets, a 3/8" & a 1/2". This seems odd for a bit set. What trades commonly use these size sockets on an impact driver? HVAC, Electrical maybe?

I want to say my fluorescent tube housings all throughout the house have nuts that size.

Obviously those two deep well sockets are 3/8" drive and fit on that little 3/8" adapter. The sizes that they fit are 3/8" and 1/2" and I suspect that those are the two most common SAE size sockets sold. It's sort of like with the metric counterpart where you always need a 10mm and a 12mm or possibly a 12mm and a 14mm. They're just common sizes. Just guessing.

To clarify, I'm clear on what the sockets are and how they're used, I just didn't understand their inclusion in the bit set. You're probably right about them being included because of them being common SAE sizes. I suppose the reason it seemed odd to me is because I can't think of the last time I needed a 3/8" or a 1/2" SAE socket. Seems like everything I work on is always metric.

3/8" would typically be a 10-32 nut, so that makes sense for electrical trades.

1/2" is a 5/16" fastener typically, and that's pretty large for anything in the electrical trade....so I got nothin'

If they were targeting electrical I'd expect them to step down to 11/32" for 8-32

Common small bolt and small lag bolt head sizes, the smaller ones are for sheet metal screws and probably magnetized.
These tools are common in the trades so the bit set suits more than one trade.

I'm going to pick this set up today at Home Depot. I already own multiples of every type bit in the set, except the ones I already own are not specifically impact rated. Plus this will help me slowly continue building my Makita tool collection.

side note: How likely is it I walk out of Home Depot with just this bit set in my bag?
