I can’t interpret either logicallyRather confusing. Completely different builds. What do the date codes reveal about which is perhaps more recent?
What's confusing about it? Looks similar to an Endurance with wire backed media. When was it acquired and installed? Same date code as the one in post 1, but made 2 minutes apart.I can’t interpret either logically
Good point. I did not go back to first post. But I can't interpret the actual date. What's confusing about it? Looks similar to an Endurance with wire backed media. When was it acquired and installed? Same date code as the one in post 1, but made 2 minutes apart.
Yeah, that date code is cryptic, not the typical Champ Labs format. Does your Amsoil contact have any date code info?Good point. I did not go back to first post. But I can't interpret the actual date.
Acquired 2023-24 (keep them in a bin, no FIFO)
I didn’t ask.Yeah, that date code is cryptic, not the typical Champ Labs format. Does your Amsoil contact have any date code info?
I’ll try and improve next time. This post was a spur of the moment thing and I was trying to be efficient. FWIW I couldn’t see any daylight between the blue bit and the spring. I don’t know if that helps.Ref posts 70 & 71. Leaf spring looks maybe OK ... hard to tell with oil all over it.
Are you using a Filter Mag, or just a bunch of strong bar magnets?
The blue nylon/plastic piece is the actual bypass valve. They don't have an issue with gaps and leakage. It's the gap between the leaf spring and end cap when the leaf spring sits down into the center tube.FWIW I couldn’t see any daylight between the blue bit and the spring. I don’t know if that helps.
Ok. So lateral pics of a clean spring is what you’re looking for clarity with? The blue nylon/plastic piece is the actual bypass valve. They don't have an issue with gaps and leakage. It's the gap between the leaf spring and end cap when the leaf spring sits down into the center tube.
Shots like in the 2nd photo in post 71. But with the leaf spring cleaned off so it can be seen better for the stamping quality of the leaf spring around where it seals on the end cap. Or like this, but with a clean leaf spring to see what the stamping looks like.Ok. So lateral pics of a clean spring is what you’re looking for clarity with?
