Amsoil Ea15k13 oil filter cut open , 9k miles Honda Accord 2015 V6

Notes: Identical parts to Mobil 1 M1-110 EXCEPT for the media. The filter media is 2 layers backed by a nice metal screen. Media is very deep. ADBV, metal and media has no defects- a small amount of glue on end cap.
Build date was Oct 12, 2015- this was the first oil-filter change on the then -new 2015 Honda Accord 3.5 V6 at about 9k miles. Some odd red particles can be seen in the media. UOA was perfect on this run at about 18k miles

You will find that their filters closely resemble Royal Purple filters.

The red specs are in fact on the media, but much smaller IRL- I think the odd lighting and my camera blurred them. This was the first change after the factory fill, so I guess there was something in the engine. The 2nd change also had red specs but far fewer.

I understand that until recently (and maybe still do) that Mobil 1, Amsoil and Royal Purple filters were made under contract by Champion Labs, so this does not surprise me. I personally have never used a Royal Purple filter. Every Amsoil and Mobil 1 filter I have cut open has been high quality, so I expect the RP to be as well.
