Me too. If it was possible to still be using XP, I would be.

Back on topic: late last year my Win10 ASUS laptop took a lightning zap (though a wired router) and the upgraded model ASUS laptop came with Win11 and was about 10% cheaper than the exact replacement from Walmart.com. I wasn't a fan of the UI, but the biggest complaint was the thing was horribly sluggish. I don't know if it was a just a lemon or a hardware issue, Win11 or a combination of both, but it was almost unusable.

I took it to the store for a refund back to my card. Ordered the Win10 version against the refund and am now a happy camper.

I'm getting the upgrade to Win11 prompts but I'll probably just wait until I HAVE to upgrade.

My 2013 Dell desktop and 2015 Toshiba laptop will never get to see Windows 11. They started out as Windows 8 and incorporated Windows 10 without a hiccup. But Bill Gates has put up roadblocks everywhere for any Windows 11 install on either one.

Bill is so stingy and he never wants to share stuff for free anymore.

My computer does meet the criteria for the Win11 upgrade. I keep the BIOS up to date, but I don't install the new BIOS right after the new BIOS is available. The MB is an Asus Rog Strix X570E.

Bill has little to do with Microsoft decisions these days. Most of his time is spent giving away his fortune, often to the wrong folks who would like to get rid of 80% of us.

All this does is align taskbar icons to the left, but the taskbar itself still remains at the bottom of the screen (horizontal). I think @bdcardinal was asking how to move the entire taskbar to the left edge of the screen (vertical), and that is still not possible natively in W11, AFAIK. However, it's easy enough to accomplish with a free piece of software called Explorer Patcher, which is what I use.
