Back in 1984 I was stationed in D.C. and I took a ride to Georgetown where I went into antique store. The two attached pics of the encased pendant showing both front and back is what I bought that day. It appears to have some religious symbols on it but I’ve never been able to find out anything about it.
A number of years ago while searching the internet for like pendants, came across a posting of someone in possession of a “similar “ pendant with some minor differences (see attached of non-encased). The poster hd said that his father, while on a business trip to Turkey, bought it.
Both pendants appear to have been hand engraved.

Any ideas as to origin or meaning?

My brother(who knows just about everything) says it’s a Filipino all-seeing amulet. If you google/search it you’ll see that he’s on the right track.

Go to Worthpoint.com. Search Philippines all seeing eye amulet. Lots of historical information there.
Thanks to you and your brother! It appears that is what they are. Now for the strange part of this. I bought that at the beginning of 1984. I had just come from serving three years in the Philippines from 80 - 83 and never heard of these.

Yes, life is funny. Most people buy a souvenir before they leave a place in order to remember it. You bought yours, without realizing it, after you had left. A great keepsake.
