Any opinions as to a sub $100 3x9x40 rifle scope with good eye relief for a 30-06. Looking for hunting and function over bells and whistles. Thanks

This would also be a good choice.Vortex Crossfire II 3 - 9 X 40
Nikon stopped making riflescopes several years ago.Take a look at this Nikon. It seems like everything has gone up in price, what was $100 five years ago is now $150.

Very true but my Savage Axis II left handed in 30-06 cost me $350 out the door! And that is before the $75 rebate!Vortex crossfire comes to mind. Decent glass for the money.
Bushnell trophy might be worth a look. Or some of the other bushnell offerings.
I have both and they are probably as good as you get under $100.
Some guys like the Simmons Scopes, too.
Don't forget a decent set of rings, though.
I know you're on a budget, but scope quality really increases in the $300-$500 range. It isn't just clarity, either.
Oh yeah..burris full field. Good image but mine doesn't hold zero that well.
