Cooper Tires has a guy they have given the name Uncle Cooper, and just like your Uncle... he doesn't know anything about tires.

I was excited to see that they asked the right questions (but not nearly enough questions), but the suggestion they made was literally the worst possible suggestion they could have made based upon my answers.
First question, select up to 2 driving conditions. Choices are Every Day, Winter, and Off Road. I selected Every Day
2nd question Select up to three features. Choices are Tread Wear, Rough Road Conditions, Wet Grip, Snow/Ice Grip, Steering Response/Handling, Comfort & Noise. I selected Tread Wear, Comfort & Noise, and Wet Grip. They did not ask me to prioritize so I guess they are all given equal weight.

Then the recommendation - Discoverer True North. "Built for impressive performance in snow". I live in an area that gets maybe 2 snowfalls a year, and this is my wifes car and she 100% does NOT drive in the snow...ever. Uncle Cooper needs some AI tweaking.

its just plain broken.
I picked everyday then steering response, wet traction

for an elantra
and it gave me true north too.. lol.

They just find tires that fit and throw them on the screen.
Was uncle cooper Forrest gump's uncle?

May I don my "Advertising Campaign Specialist's Hat"? They miscast "Uncle Cooper". He looks stupid and slovenly.

Michael Chrighton (author: The Andromeda Strain) wrote a book while in med school entitled, "Five Patients".
It's essentially five short stories.
One is of an automated diagnosis machine which asked toxicological questions and proceeded to prescribe conflicting meds.

The local tire store rates its tires on a 0/10 scale for snow performance, wet, etc.

To nobody's surprise, nothing really gets below an 8 on anything.

advertisings tend to be not fully truthful + $$$$ rules over actual correct applications for MANY things!!
