I looked at a few today.
The look does not bother me in any way whatsoever.
I look at the car as a tool.
I drove a 2010 Honda Insight for 4 years and the new Toyota doesn't look much different.

I also do not care about the cost of the Hybrid vs a normal car.
I can't pull the trigger though because I have too many cars now- dang............

It's polarizing, for certain. Love/hate, nobody's going to mistake it for anything else.

If I drove a lot for a living and didn't have to worry about what folks thought, a new Prius would be on the short list. Even with low gas prices, racking up 30,000 miles a year sure puts a dent in the wallet.

I agree.
I notice certain colors neutralize its looks too.
But except for a bit busier in the rear it looks like an Insight.

I also have done a few 14-16 hr straight drives to Florida and just getting out for gas is a pain.
It would be nice to get 600-700 miles on a tank instead of 300

Someone in our office building bought a base model with no options, in black.

It looks like it fell out of the ugly tree, and creamed every branch on the way down.

Maybe by getting it in black, he was trying to minimize the amount of ugliness involved.

Yup, can't be as bad as the newer Jeep Cherokee or the Nissan Juke.

2016 Chevy Volt Plug-in Hybrid is better than 2015 by a long shot and sale increased substantial even with low gas price.

2016 Prius is better than 2015 in every way except styling, sale went down about 25% year to date. This tells you the styling effect the sale, not gas price.

Yes- as far as I know its not out yet.

I hope the ugliness brings nice rebates

I test drove a Corolla recently and the salesman said they haven't sold a Prius in months. At least that's what I think he said. i was driving on the highway at the time and trying to control the conversation before he started asking stupid questions. Low fuel prices combined with the Jetson styling it's no wonder.

Toyota is having $2,000 rebate for 2016 Prius, I don't remember if they ever had any rebate for previous Prius.

Hmmm ... had a peek - I'm thinking my Fusion Hybrid Titanium is easier to look at ...
But guess function over form - Prius are surely well made ...

I do like to see cars that are different and not copycats of each other. It`s hard to tell some cars apart until you see the logos on them. Havn`t made up my mind on the Prius. The Juke I could get used to if the headlights didn`t go all the way up and back on the front fenders.
