Ugh, filter came loose.

1/4 turn isn't enough. Gotta go at least 2/3 turn, and 3/4 turn is about right for most filters. Check directions on the side of the box.

2002 HD 8.1 Had a microguard filter come loose, tightened it back up (tighter) and it came loose. I tightened it every 500 miles till I changed it.
Next filter was a Wix, no problem.
Ended up with a Microguard again and it happened again. it would not stay tight. Changed it right away and no problems since.
I also have done the 2 gasket trick......what a mess.
