Remember when the “World Series” was called the “World Series”…..? Wait…..Remember when American sports like baseball, football, etc called their champions "world champions" ?

Haha ! Baseball was my favorite sport growing up along with soccer, of course. Soccer was so new in the US that we only had "CYO" type leagues and by 10-11 years old, very few people played. I did play baseball into junior high though. Quit baseball after the players went on strike in '94..... All I notice any more about the "World Series" is very few people are allowed to say that phrase because MLB trademarked it or something and if MLB didn't give you permission, you have to call it something generic.Remember when the “World Series” was called the “World Series”…..? Wait…..
Anyway, regarding the "world" series, folks in Japan, South Korea, and many countries to the south of us have every right to dispute that.
