Trying to remove this gadget off my wind 7 laptop

Can someone help? Ive went to the remove gadget control panel and tried, no go. Tried to scroll over the thing to find somewhere to X it out, no-go.
It is a NWS radar map.

How do I get this off?

Thing is, I don't even live NEAR where that map is showing! Help!!!

Right-click on it and select Close Gadget.

Have you tried to Goggle for a fix?
Have you checked the start up programs? Control panel "Uninstall" programs?
Is it in "Hidden Icons" behind the task bar?

Could it just be part of a wallpaper on your desktop?

Right click on another blank part of the desktop. The normal part.

You should get a drop down menu with one of the choices being "Gadgets" from the menu that appears when you click on this, you should be able to change it, or turn off gadgets all together.
