Any beading you see from scratch out (and I doubt you would see any), would be due to the lubricating oils that keep the abrasives in suspension. It doesn't protect the finish at all, and is in fact designed to wash off easily (after all you wouldn't want your car covered in KIT scratch out residue).
I think at this point having gone over the car with the scratch out, the paint surface should be clean and smooth and ready for what ever wax you like. The Ice liquid/paste is very easy to apply, and should be pretty much fool proof, as long as you don't forget to wipe it off with an MF towel.
