Truck got tow out off my new car port at my apartment

My mother in law's vehicle got towed because she was one spot over from her assigned spot. When the person who was assigned that spot came home, I guess they called the office. The office didn't bother to do the slightest bit of investigation, just towed it.

I don't get it? What's a 4x4 have to do with his truck getting towed?

NOTE: A 4x4 is pretty much a requirement here. A 2wd with sand bags and a locker won't do as many say.
4x2 lift the rear wheels and tow and nothing grinds up so you never lift the front and tow. 4x4 doesn't matter which end you lift you are towing a drive end and things might grind up.

I'm adding this story to my long list of reasons to never own a 4WD vehicle.

I don't think its that common to be parked in 4WD on pavement, so usually its in 2WD anyway.

Don't get a 4WD in case your might get towed ? 4WD resale is much better. Maybe 2WD for some simple work trucks. I wont have one with out it.
