This is an older car, 1999 SLK Supercharged, which I bought used and paint was kind of abused. This is a daily driver that was out in the Texas sun 5 or 6 days a week. Garaged at night.
I never buffed or DAed it.
Always polished with Nu Finish and every time the paint just got smoother, deeper, and more wet looking. Very slick so that dirt and bird droppings have a hard time sticking. Really protects the finish.
On my Ferrari I used Klasse. Extremely hard to apply and buff out. Probably 5 times more work then NuFinish.
This car isn't really a fair test as I painted it with extra high solids clear and then color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. It won best paint job in car show.
I miss this car, but I drove it for eight years and sold it for more then I paid for it, so I can't complain. Now looking for the right Ferrari 360 Spider. I want red this time. I would never have another black car.
I replaced my other Mercedes with this one when it was totaled by box a truck running me over about 1 1/2 years ago. Bought this one from a starlet in Beverly Hills when it came off lease. Car as new except she always had it washed in drive through car wash. Used NuFinish and it really helped make it look great for 1 1/2 years. Just recently used the DA on it with Maguire's Ultimate compound, then Klasse All in one polish. Then waxed it yesterday with RejeX to see how that works out. They claim wipe on and then just wipe off after 20 minutes. I must have put too much on since it was difficult to rub off. See how it works, then may go back to my good old NuFinish as the bird poop is really bad where I park and the NuFinish has always protected the finish from that with slick finish and always comes right off as do the love bugs.
Everyone has preferences on what they like due to the variables of what they need and time to do it.
I have used may products and feel that NuFinish is one of the best out there. I've never used a product with more protection or durability. What you use and prefer is fine with me.
That’s what I’m talking about! Someone who actually uses their vehicles and details them with different products and post the results!
