trans pan gasket leaking

Not sure from the picture but it looks like there's metal reinforcing sleeves where the hardware goes. That may mean that even tightening more may not gain you any more squish from the gasket so be careful. The sealing is solely dependent on the molded ribs.

You have the 5.7l and not the 4.0l or 4.7l, right? I think there's two different p/ns from Toyota.

Do you recall the condition of the transmission body when you raised the pan into place? Did you prepped up that surface too for any gummy residual? The last two transmission services I made sure there was no ATF fluid on the surface and wiped dry as much as I could.

If worse case scenario requires you to drop the pan again, the previous posters suggestions of checking flatness is a good idea. Maybe checking both the original and the new one and teetering it to feel for any abnormal high/low spots.
