Just got under my VUE today for the first time, and noticed there was a drain plug for the tranny. No pan!

Others may correct me, but I seriously doubt you have a serviceable transmission filter. Honda likes to put a nonserviceable screen. My 2002 4-speed automatic is that way anyway. That's why I drain & refill every 15k miles. It's only 3 qts for me.
Whoops! I did a search AFTER I created this topic and got the info I needed. Thanks anyway though.
A drain plug for the transmission for this honda vue is great news! I'm interested in this vehicle. can you tell I'm used to dropping the pan without a drain plug?quote:

That is why I installed a Magnefine inline filter on our 2001 Accord EX V6. Size 3/8. I am running them on all 3 of our vehicles. You can get them from www.bulkpart.com
