Wow, this flooding situation in Australia is truly of biblical proportions. My prayers go out to all the people of Australia affected by all this flooding.

They will probably send those cars over here and they be back on the road no problem.

Saw some footage on the news tonight,a Hi Ace taking out a tree, and another car surfing on a huge wave, another going under a bridge and taking it out.Devastating, this is so much worse than our little earthquake, the costs to everyone and the country will be huge.

I have no friends in Brisbane - my mate who was in Brisbane rung me on Xmas Day from Cairns,he's just sailed his boat up there.

It seems to keep getting worse and worse .

Man, that's horrible. To all the folks from Aus. that frequent here, I hope you are doing well and staying safe!

After our 3.5"in just over an hour last week, finally got my Net back today...(Yep, We got it easy).

The tech who diagnosed my (their) hardware fault did 35 hours OT in the last 7 days, and told me that they are being seconded on rotation to Queensland (700 miles away ???) to start putting their comms back together.

that guy saving his truck is either very brave or very stupid.

What's he doing with the front wheels before he gets in the truck, locking the front hubs? I wouldn't worry about 4WD in a fast rising water situation like that, I'd just get in and get the heck out of dodge (of course, I'd also dispense with the umbrella). I guess he thought he had plenty of time.
