AFAIK the worst that could happen is that the filter disintegrates or holes, but that's probably not very likely. Next worst is it goes into bypass, which isn't too bad.

If you particularly want to do it, Maybe defer and cut it open this time to get some subjective clues for next time?

A great idea looking at some facts before acting on impulse. Maybe even a UOA would supply some good data for the future.

Can't see that a single UOA is likely to give you any interpretable information relevant to filter performance or integrity. If you'd done, or could access, an extensive study that compared filter loadings with UOA's you MIGHT be able to extract some indication of failure or sustained bypass, but even then I doubt it.

When it comes to standard UOA at least as far as insolubles Blackstone has said that they see no differences between filters used. Anecdotally on bitog, even filters that had known media tears showed (other than being unremarkable) nothing remarkable in subsequent UOA.

As for topic, IMO in a well maintained engine can't see any reason why using the filter a second oci of ~5k miles would be an issue. Main consideration would be holding capacity which best information says in average car and usage is
For Honda, every other OCI is the OM/MM recommended FCI and has been for a long time.
