Am I the only one that cuts an empty bottle in half with my pocket knife every time I need a funnel?

Maybe - there a very cheap funnels around - and knives have been banned from many worksites due to severe hand cuts.

I've made some good funnels doing that. Pennzoil Conventional and MMO quart bottles make some very good funnels.

That is exactly what I use. When not in use it sits atop an empty 5 quart oil jug with a plastic bag over the funnel to keep it clean for next time.
I had the flotool funnel. Eventually the plastic ribs wore down and it fell over while I was using it, making a mess. Still, I got my money's worth out of it.
Don't think it will "stick" in a larger Toyota hole. I'll keep using my MotivX.

Funnel arrived as two pieces for late model Toyota, Lexus and Scion. Full screw on and not the half turn oil fill cap. Looks well made.

Came the other day.Looks nice ,well made. See how it works in a few months when its oil change time.
Updated the pic to address the proverbial oil funnel storage dribble and potential thread damage/contamination issues. The fit is excellent! Ask ur pharmacist for a prescription bottle screw cap. Usually they are free if you ask politely.

I just ordered this exact same funnel for my 2018 Camry. You can't get ANY funnel to stay in place on the 2.5, 4-Cylinder because the camshaft sits so high, it won't allow a funnel to stand on it's own. It's all but asking for a disaster. So I have to hold it with one hand, while I try to pour a 5 Qt. jug with the other. It's a PITA when you have the car up in the air high enough to get under it. Not to mention you're bent over and it kills your back.
Is it a necessity? No. But as I said, if this funnel prevents just one mess in it's lifetime, (or mine), it will have been well worth the measly $17.00 I spent on it. Rather than waiting for my luck to run out screwing around without it. Free First Class shipping isn't bad either. I should have it in a few days.... Thanks Patrick!

I've been doing that for years.
I also fitted some oil proof hose on one to hold it securely in place when I do oil changes on my van.

Mine came yesterday. I screwed it together, and tried it. It fits perfectly, with a nice tight seal. I'll be looking forward to using it on my next oil change.
