Why can't we have them in US? 😭
This top dog is Toyota Hiace Caesar Crown Edition.

Or even the "basic" Toyota Vellfire...

The Sienna offered in US looks so stripped down on options, compared to these...

A lot of times I believe they are diesels as well. If diesel costed less than regular I would consider one in a Tahoe. But since that’s wishful thinking I’m a L87 fan. I do wish the L87 ran on regular but I’m getting really nit picky. If those vans were available here, I’d not be a buyer and I don’t know anyone who would be…

This, on the other hand, I like

Toyota was already in the RV segment in the past & it did not fare well for them.
I remember seeing those little RV's in the 80's. Tiny truck with a camper on it, dual rear wheels and all but they had axle issues and were severely underpowered and thus had lots of mechanical issues.

I would absolutely buy that van! I know the mini van market is soft in the USA right now but I have a feeling these "bougie" loaded up limo vans would sell. They would be a perfect alternative to an Escalade if you didn't need the towing and I bet limo and airport companies could make a good use of them as well.

The mini bathroom has me sold already.

Knowing Toyota the toilet and associated plumbing will work perfectly unlike most RV hack jobs out there.

I'm sure Toyota has run the numbers and those vehicles just don't make economic sense in the US.
That seems logical, but the reality seems to be something different. My Lexus dealer tells me he wishes Lexus would send them 100 hybrids a month instead of ICE. And if Lexus would make a 300 mile range EV, he couldn't keep them in inventory.

Cafe maybe? Safety? Who knows.

The euro market has a lot of these vans type things as well. I have looked and there pretty expensive. Westfalia did a conversion with the Eurovan like 20 years ago and sold almost none. I think there worth more now than when they were new?

My guess is the majority of folks with that kind of cash who want an RV in the US want a 800 square foot RV / 5th wheel type setup.
