It took about 6 weeks from start to finish, but we took delivery of our new 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE this past Saturday.

While we have only put 30 miles on it, we love it.

My wife is not a car person so her commentary means the most. We both agree it is amazingly comfortable and easy to drive. It has much more footroom for the rear passengers than what our 2014 T&C had, though I can tell already we will miss the vast amount of storage that the Chrysler has as compared to the Toyota.

The hybrid system is very, very smooth, unlike the F150 powerboost we have here at work. You don't feel a thing when the engine kicks on when driving the van. It will take some time for me to get past the engine not being warmed up before being shut off, as well as the constant stop/start going on as you drive. I tried Sport Mode on Sunday and noticed it acted more like a Start Stop system than a Hybrid.

I also fear forgetting to turn it off when parking it in the garage, since it pulls in silently. We were able to leave the church parking lot on Sunday entirely on electric power, which was cool.

Fit and finish is very good. I love the size of the steering wheel. While an odd observation, it is oddly idea for driving. It's the right diameter, and not too thick.

Carplay is awesome as well. The sounds system is very good, even though it isn't the premium system

When our 5 year old asked how long we are keeping this van, our answer was, "as long as possible." We got our T&C when he was born.

Thanks to those who did write ups on this van vs. others. I would have preferred a Honda for the looks of the van, but my wife wanted AWD, and our Honda dealer isn't the greatest, especially compared to our local Toyota dealer. Honda also only comes in black interior for the trims we want, and she didn't want that either.

Nice sienna. I really love that shade of green toyota came out with. I really like the ocean gem the camry has too, reminds me of the past for some reason. Always loved blue and green, owned a green silverado before and have a blue sierra now. I'd get a new silverado in a metallic emerald or similar shade of green if gm offered it.

We have a green trend at our house right now. My wife helped me pick out my Wrangler. I let her pick the color, the rest was on me.

That was the other reason we went Toyota. She saw that green and had to have it. We could have had a new van a week into out search, but green was not available. We had "order" a green one.

Nice mil style jeep. Nothing goes better than green and black on a wrangler imo.

I remember wearing a short sleeve button up in that toyota ocean gem color now. I think it was a touch darker, used to wear it a lot when I was young I think 11. I can hardly remember now. So that's why it reminded me of the past. Couldn't put my finger on it.

i have had 3 rentals like yours in Vegas . one was same color as yours fully loaded to the hilt with 1k miles . that thing was smooth and the gas milage for such a large vehicle was incredible .

The last 2 had close to 40k miles on them and they were pretty beat up. the drive trains had a lot of clunks and noises. But since they were rentals its kinda expected they may have seen their share of abuse

6 weeks is more reasonable relative to the 6 to 12 months (or longer) order time that they have been on for the last 5 years.
I have some questions.
1. Were you able to get the exact model/trim, options, and color choices (outside and inside) that you wanted?
2. Did you have to accept any overpriced crapola dealer and/or distributor "options"? If so, what?
3. Did you have to pay over MSRP (factory sticker price) for the van? If so, how much (if you don't mind my asking)?
4. How many dealers did you have to visit (or contact) before you found one that would work with you?
I have been wanting one but I'm not willing to bend over for the abuse. It is bad enough that they have gone up in price so much in the last 5 years.

For the most part, we got what we wanted. Since they hold the power, I had to pay for some what is in the XLE plus package, which I was not really interested in.

What I didn't want, but got:
1. Roof rack ( I actually wanted this, but my wife did not. It didn't come with crossbars, however.)
2. 1500W inverter
3. Moonroof
4. Toyota branded first aid kit.
5. JBL Audio (I was wrong above, it does have the premium sound system)
6. 12.3 inch screen

What I wanted and got:
1. Mudguards
2. All weather floor mats

We would not have taken delivery if it wasn't green...that's how much my wife wanted that color. We didn't have to pay for anything like undercoating or scotchguard. They didn't even fight when I so no to the extended warranty, though I thought hard on that due to the amount of tech in this van.

What didn't I get that I wanted?
A full size spare tire. In fact, it doesn't have a spare tire. In 33 years of driving, I can count on 2 fingers the number of times I have needed a spare tire, and one of those times was in a rental vehicle, so I am not upset, but I will be putting a plug kit in it, as I did use that on my last van. It did come with an air compressor and a can of Toyota branded fix-a-flat.

Aslo, I added by paying for upon delivery: Body colored strips along the doors to protect against door dings, as that was not included in the package.

They added only $1100 more in options than I wanted, so I settled for it. I felt that was very fair.

We only visited our local dealer, as I didn't want to have to deal with another dealer 45 minutes away. My thought was to play the long game and keep our local dealer as our provider for the van, the warranty, and some service.

I could tell they had NO interest in my old van, so I am selling that on my own. I would have been lucky to get $1000 from them based on the way they were looking at it when I talked about trading it. It could sit at my place for a year before I would consider something that low for it (2014 T&C with a bad idle vibration and lots of electrical gremlins).

Nice van! Enjoy

You won’t have a large issue selling old as long as in decent shape, running etc in current economy . Dealer does not want old Chrysler vans however others do.

I dropped off the Highlander for a battery swap and 50k mile service. There was a same color Sienna in the showroom. I really like that color. Beats the typical Toyota blacks, grays and whites (except for the white pearl).

I may have been one of those writers about sienna experiences. Congrats on the van. I don’t think they could have done better with these - superb vehicle and truly excellent driveline. You got a great one!

Congratulations. Enjoy the new van. Can’t beat a minivan for road trips, moving “stuff”, and all-around versatility.

In what way is the Sienna less capable in terms of storage vs. the T&C? Did you have stow and go in the T&C? Thx.
