I'm not specifying why I want the remote setup because I don't need the commentary usually found here.
Just asked a simple question and looking for if anyone knew of such an adapter.

Heh, you already got the commentary. For the life of me I cannot understand why members can't simply answer a question and have to nitpick an op's question to death.

Glad you got your answer that looks interesting....and I think I know might why you're contemplating the change...

Google has the answer as to where to get cartridge adapter to spin-on. The why is more interesting than the where.

I typed in "Toyota Cart" into Google and it auto completed to "Toyota Cartridge Oil Filter Adapter" and the first result was Baxter.

This is what I get when I search the same. I guess Google.ca is different than .COM which isn't an option for me as I'm forced to .ca automatically with their Geo-Locating

Fair enough. Does it matter if you add the "r" after the cart? I was using my iPhone and using the Google search through Safari.

Not worth it and don’t see a benefit given the risk.

Agreed. While no particular fan of the imo Rube Golbergian Toyota cartridge set up, changing it as queried opens one up to an obvious warranty service denial situation. Should definitely be a consideration in a new vehicle. Risk reward not worth it imo.

Maybe so you could pay 50 to 60% less for your filter.
With 10k changes you'll never recoup the cost of a remote system. Changing the filter was a pain until I got the correct tool. I'm also thinking about running the Fram Ultra for 20k. Filters look brand new when they come out if this vehicle.

Amsoil user. Cartridge filter for the Highlander only rated to 15k.

This would explain the need for a spin-on adapter, but why a remote setup? Is there no space for an adapter and filter?

The cartridge filter is tucked just above the bottom of the radiator but with an adapter and spin on filter it would be hanging quite low. That's not why though. I want it for another reason.

I want to play with bypass filtration for experimentation. I was debating whether I should tap off and existing port or I could use an adapter that way if I needed to go back to the OE I could do so before taking the vehicle in for warranty should something go wrong.

Thanks... maybe on e you "do" bypass you'll keep it that way and have loooong OCIs.
