Another member posted about having 2 in a row with a gap in the glue that would let unfiltered oil thru. I happened to decide to run a Toyota filter on a whim a few days prior to his post.

Luckily this was not affected at all but I wanted the piece of mind. Fantastic looking filter. Was replaced with a Champ XL ph2840xl. Almost nothing within the pleats...like 2 specs of dirt.

What oil went back in sump? Thank You
 
Every time I see a green oil filter part I think of China made. I just see a lot of green stuff being made there. Happy to hear of your report that this filter didn't suffer the same quality issues the other poster had. I remember seeing that other post recently too. I'd probably done the same thing thinking. "darn it, my filter might be damaged too".

it was worth it to find out and rule it out
